Hunting at Star Valley Ranch

Standing at the Ranch house that sits on a hillside overlooking Star Valley Ranch’s 2400 acres of spectacular elevational changes, heavy cover and rugged terrain you will immediately realize just how special a hunting ranch you are on. The ranch is cross fenced into three distinctively different areas that we identify as high fence (700 acres), low fence (1,400 acres) and exotic (300 acres) areas. Star Valley has everything the discriminating sportsman requires. Situated near Blanket, Texas on the Brown County and Comanche County lines, Star Valley Ranch is conveniently located two hours west of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and two hours north of Austin.

Under an extensive management program through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Managed Land’s Permit program, Star Valley provides a diverse experience for hunters of all levels of experience or age. With over fifteen stationary blinds, numerous portable blinds, a high rack truck and the use of rattling, hunters are assured of seeing large numbers of deer, turkey or gold medal exotics.

Whether you enjoy hunting heavy timbered creek beds, open food plots, senderos, or high elevation overlooks with rifle or bow, we can provide the hunting experience you are looking for. We are on a continual year-long protein supplement program insuring quality deer both inside the high fence as well as on the low-fenced portion of the ranch. Star Valley is under a managed land permit, meaning our season runs from October 1st to February 28th.
